SoundHound is a mobile phone app which provides the service to identify music by singing, playing or humming a track. This application was published by Melodis Corporation (currently SoundHound Inc) in 2007.
It is a music search engine too which is available on Google Play, Apple store and Windows Marketplace for mobiles. The application enables users to identify music by singing, playing or humming a song. SoundHound has also capability to identify it by speaking or typing the name of song or artist.
Some of the amazing features are LiveLyrics, which enables to see lyrics move in time with the music, blazing fast music recognition, tells you about the new songs along with streams, new artists and many more. SoundHound updates from facebook and twitter of your favorite artists and singers.
Once it starts to play a song, it fetches the all information about that song. You can also access YouTube to the relative videos of that song. You can control this app using a single button and all of the resources within are well organized.
There are two more version available for this app; SoundHound Infinity and Hound. Hound is for searching the artists and new tracks. SoundHound and Hound are free. In the end, I will say that it is an amazing application to play songs with lyrics and tracks identification.
